The Honest Life

A blog about living an honest life filled with success, happiness, struggle, and most importantly, LOVE!

Face Your Problems Head On (Apply Directly to the Forehead)

I mentioned in one of my previous articles (found here) the importance of losing the fear, but I forgot one CRUCIAL part to losing it; facing your problems head on.

It’s very easy to run away from what you’re scared of. Personally, I’ve been doing it for a big part of my life. When things get too hard, and too scary it’s easy to just say, “I’m sure things will work out for the best” and let the Universe work its magic.

But what about the times when it’s not enough? Like when you NEED to do better in school? Or when you NEED to get your bosses approval on a financial statement? These things won’t just magically happen. You’ve got to work for it!

I use school as and example for my problem because you all know from previous posts the struggles that I’m currently going through. I decided that enough was enough and I needed to start facing my problems head on.

I sat down with a pen and paper and wrote down everything that I thought contributed to be not doing well in previous semesters. Personal stuff, family arguments, troubles with friends, texting in class, skipping class to get more sleep. I wrote it all down in the LEFT column and in the RIGHT column I wrote solutions to the problems (as simple as they may have been). This helped me get a visual on the problems that I was having and it helped me GREATLY in facing my problems head on.

I started my first day of the new semester yesterday and it went GREAT! I love my new classes and the professors that teach them seem really nice and I already have a feeling that it’s going to be an amazing semester, all because I decided to stop running and face my problems head on.

What are you running from in your life that is stopping you from living fully and honestly? What problems could you start facing head on? Leave a comment below and let’s talk!

All of My Love,

I tend to struggle with acceptance. If someone doesn’t accept me it devastates me at times. I think what I need to understand is that everyone won’t like you, for whatever reason…. and as long as I am happy with myself, I should be fine. It’s hard though…. especially when it’s with co-workers or even from home. Ugh…..
